This project involved creating a trend, including a target demographic, lifestyle and location in London where the trend would evolve. In our group, we looked back in time and agreed that the 50s were quite inspiring as we liked the classic, tailored style. The men's fashion, particularly suits from that era were intriguing to us. We thought it would be an interesting twist to combine the classic 50s style with a more 60s pop culture approach by using an extreme and neon colour palette, especially when it comes to the make-up. After researching, we found that Chanel have recently done some extreme and colourful make-up in their shows, which fuelled our idea.
We did the photoshoot in a studio and wanted it to be very playful and animated to match the colourful approach of the trend.
