FASHION INDUSTRY PROJECT: PRADA

This was a group project where we imagined we worked for Prada. Within the group we covered textiles, promotional material, print, styling, photography, location and visual direction.  My role was to focus on marketing, specifically to create invitations to a Prada fashion show. As a group we decided that Prada as a brand has quite a conservative style, is polished, sophisticated and timeless. Therefore we ensured that we emulated this in our collection.

Another dimension of the project was to follow the theme 'fragmented'; I was inspired by the idea of broken glass, lace and paper doilies.  With the doilies, I painted over them, scanned the image into a computer and printed it out on tracing paper, giving it a transparent effect.  I experimented with using different colors for this, but the best result was black and white.

If I had more time, I would have played around with the font a bit more, because I think there's more that could be done in that respect.
