FULL-FIGURES IN THE MAKING
We were asked to bring 5 A4 pages with full-figures models from magazines for todays work.
The assignment for today was to create a wearable item, focusing on construction, shape and scale. I made 3 full-figures. The first one is a jacket, which I made out of brown paper and it is simply triangles folded different, so it seems a bit three-dimensional. The second one is pants made out of toilet paper. I have folded it so it looks like small roses, and it makes it look a bit more exclusive, as if the model wore a white fur pants. The last one I made, was a shoulder accessories, mainly made out of folded brown paper. I am very happy for my outcome, and I think I did a great job. If I should mention something I could have done better, will it probably be doing something which was more daring and maybe have done some more risking shapes.
When we finished the first assignment, we moved on making something a bit different than the first assignment. We should now decide, which part of the body we would like to work with, and then print out a picture of the body part, you would like to work with and finally do a replay of the picture. I chose to work with the upper body as you can see on the first picture. I tried to make some different suggestions for a corset, in which I should make wearable. I chose to go on with the corset made out of toilet paper.
