3DD - DAY 1:

FIRST DAY OF 3D

Today the 3D week started and we started out with making some drawings. We were asked to draw different kind of things, such as squiggles, our house number, favorite clothes, shoe pattern, different lines and a then change our drawings into something three-dimensional. I draw for instant my favorite fruit which is a raspberry. Then I had to transform the raspberry into a rabbit house and then make 2 rabbits inside. It was quite fun to experiment with. The main point with this assignment, was to face that you do not necessarily have to design a product out of nowhere. You can start making some random and turn it into a masterpiece.

After the drawing exercise, we were asked to make a sculpture out of paper, and it be able to a bottle of water in or on it. I simply choose to curl the paper together and make the shape from that point. After doing this, we took our product over to the light, so we could take some good pictures, where you can see the shadows and other details.

The last thing we were asked to do, was to make a chair in which you should be able to sit on. I worked together with one from my class, and we decided to make a sort of a box. It took a while before we managed to get it a bit stable, but unfortunately not good enough.. It broke when we tried to sit on it. We could have done it more stable, if we had changed the composition of the box, making a different  foundation. I really like our design though, the triangles in the sides and the waves in the front and on the top.
